LOOK WHAT IT MEANS TO NEYMAR: HE EQUALS PELE’S RECORD

It is the hour! The man is coming. Although it had been a quiet World Cup so far for Neymar mainly because of injuries, the Brazilian superstar came up when they needed him most to give his team a crucial advantage in extra-time at 2022 FIFA World Cup Quarterfinal against Croatia.

Neymar has equalled Pele’s long-standing record with a stunning goal to give Brazil the lead in the Quarter-final against Croatia at the Education City Stadium.

This was Neymar’s 77th goal for Brazil’s national team. He has now equaled Peele’s record of being the country’s joint-highest goalscorer. This was Neymar’s second goal in the tournament. He also scored a penalty during Brazil’s 4-1 Round 16 win over South Korea.
