La Albiceleste scored goals from Alexis Mac Allister & Julian Alvarez to secure a vital win. Mac Allister scored 46 minutes after he received Nahuel Mlina's cross.

He was able to score past Wojciech Zczesny, Poland goalkeeper. Alvarez, Manchester City’s young forward, netted the goal in the 67th minute.

Lionel Messi did a great job in winning, with two of his four shots hitting the target and five crucial passes.

But, the legendary forward had a moment to think about in the 39th minutes when he saw his penalty saved and saved by Szczesny.

Fortunately, Argentina beat Poland to win the tournament and was placed in the 16th group as winners. They now face Australia.

Messi has taken umbrage at the fact that he missed his spot kick and has reacted positively to the win over Bialo–Czerwoni.

He said:  Anger at not having scored the penalty, but the team was stronger for it. We knew it would be a game-changer once the first goal was scored.
