Luka Modric chooses 'greatest' player between Messi and Diego Maradona

as the greatest player in front of La Albiceleste great Lionel Messi. Maradona forward Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain are often cited as the greatest players of all times.

The two have an incredible career and are now heroes in Argentina. Modric, 37 years old, has been able to play against Messi in Real Madrid.

Modric knows the tremendous talent of the former Barcelona attacker. Modric however stated that Maradona was superior in a conversation with ESPN Argentina.

He said Maradona is my favorite. Maradona and Leo, Messi's two greatest, are Maradona (Messi) and Diego (David).

Maradona, an extraordinary talent, played 490 official club matches during his 21-year professional life and scored 259 goals.

He won 91 international caps for Argentina while scoring 34 goals. The FIFA World Cup 1986 was won by the Napoli legend together with La Albiceleste.

He was the winner of the Serie A title two times with Napoli, and the Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona won in 1983.

Maradona was known for his creativity, vision, speed and dribbling ability. He was a stout gem of a footballer who could make magic from nothing.
