make contact with Chelsea to sign £100,000-per-week player

As per Calciomercato: Manchester United has made contact with Chelsea to sign Hakim Ziyech, a winger.

It is reported that the Red Devils are first in the race to sign the Moroccan-aged 29-year-old, who has fallen behind the Stamford Bridge pecking list.

Ziyech only made nine appearances across competitions during this season's 270 minute total of action.

AC Milan are interested, but a reunion at Manchester United with Erik ten Hag seems to be the most likely destination.

Ziyech's departure is anticipated for January's transfer window. The forward is keen to play more at Chelsea - he played the best football under Ten Hag at Ajax.

Ziyech has the ability to play both on the flanks and as an attacking midfielder, which would make him a huge asset for the Red Devils.

The Blues are yet to decide if they would sell the Moroccan to one their top four rivals. Manchester United is currently in fifth place in the league

five places ahead of Chelsea. Ziyech's current agreement at Stamford Bridge will expire in 2025. He is currently on wages of PS100,000.- per week, according to Sun.
